The ProX MB-8 is a compact 8-inch mirror disco ball designed to deliver brilliant, dazzling reflections in spaces where every inch counts. Ideal for mobile DJs, photo booths, retail window displays, home setups, small bars, and intimate party rooms, the MB-8 brings classic disco sparkle to environments where larger balls simply will not fit.
The ball is built around a high-density Polystyrene foam (EPS) core, the industry-preferred material for professional mirror ball construction. The closed-cell EPS structure is exceptionally lightweight while remaining dimensionally stable, resisting warping, cracking, and distortion from stage heat, humidity changes, and the rigors of regular touring and storage. This stable core holds a true spherical shape for the lifetime of the product, ensuring smooth balanced rotation and even light reflection in every direction.
The exterior is covered in precision-cut high-grade glass mirror tiles measuring 10mm (3/8"), each finished with a premium silvered backing that delivers maximum reflectivity, true color rendering, and crisp beam definition. The tiles are produced to consistent thickness with clean square edges for tight uniform placement, and the mirror coating is sealed against tarnishing and discoloration to maintain its bright silver finish through years of professional use. Every tile is bonded with a professional-grade high-strength adhesive that locks tiles securely in place during rotation, transport, and repeated installations. ProX mirror balls feature an increased tile count compared to traditional mirror balls, producing a denser, brighter field of reflected light and color across the room.
Internally, a reinforced steel center rod runs the full vertical axis from top to bottom, anchored with a removable O-ring at each pole and secured by an M10 nut for maximum mounting strength. This provides a balanced, road-rated anchor point for hanging hardware and motor attachment. The MB-8 is fully compatible with the ProX X-MBM-1 (3 RPM) mirror ball motor (sold separately) and works as a universal replacement with any standard 3 RPM rotator on the market.
